Live 11特集第2弾は、大阪の認定トレーナーToru Ikemotoをフィーチャリングしたオンライン開催です。
Toru Ikemotoは世界各国のテクノレーベルよりリリースを重ねているアーティストであり、大阪心斎橋のDJ／DTMスクール「yell0w」も運営しています。
その彼はDJセットにAbleton Liveを組み合わせる活用法を紹介。今回はLive 11でアップデートされたマクロコントロールを活用したり、Ableton LiveをDJミキサーのエフェクターとして組み込むDJ寄りの内容になりそうです。
ホストは東京のAbleton認定トレーナーKoyasがつとめ、Live 11に関するQ&Aの時間も設けます。

2002年より音楽活動を開始し、テクノの名門レーベル Monoid RecordingsよりStart EPと002をリ リースし、Hardtechno、Minimalhouseというジャンルにて可能性を発揮する。 プロダクションにおいては、世界各国のレーベルより数々のリリースを重ね、Richie Hawtin、 Hito、Joseph Capriatiなどのトップクラスのアーティストのサポートを受け数々のclubで彼のTrack がプレイされる。
またコンペティションなどへも参加し、Plus Records、Cocoon Recordingsでは入賞を果たし、そ の功績が認められMixmagやミュージックマガジンにて期待の新人としてインタビューを受ける。
近年は海外ツアーを行う中、オーストラリア最大級strawberry fields festivalの出演も果たす。 その後自身のTechno、Houseを中心としたイベントチームSiiNEの発足や、DJ、DTMスクールyell0wを大阪心斎橋に開校し次世代のアーティストの育成にも力を入れている。

Ableton Meetup Tokyo (AMT) will hold another free webcast session on Sunday December 6, 2020 picking up one of the hottest topics for Ableton Live users… the coming of Live 11!
Ableton Live 11, currently available as a public beta version, contains a variety of interesting new features. Yes, it sounds attractive indeed but you may wonder what’s new and how it’s different from Live 10.
In order to meet your curiosity, AMT is holding a series of webcast sessions taking a closer look at Live 11 from many different aspects inviting different guest speakers each event.
For this upcoming session we will invite Toru Ikemoto, an Ableton Certified Trainer based in Osaka, Japan, as a guest presenter. Toru releases his tracks from various different techno labels worldwide while running his DJ and music production school called “yell0w” located in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, Japan.
Based on his background, he will demonstrate some creative use of Ableton Live particularly for DJs to expand the possibility of their performances showing some cool new features of Live 11 in his presentation.
Koyas, the founder of Ableton Meetup Tokyo and Ableton Certified Trainer himself, will host this program. Don’t miss some in-depth conversation between two of Japan’s leading personnel in the world of Ableton Live as well!

Toru Ikemoto started out his music career in 2002 and soon began releasing tracks he’d produced through techno labels such as on Monoid Recordings (Start EP002) with signature hard techno and minimal house sound.
His production releases have been piling up on a number of different labels from around the world with world class DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Hito and Joseph Capriati featuring his tracks in their club and party sets.
He’s also experienced success as a winner of various production competitions such as those run through Plus Records & Cocoon Records. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by music industry magazines such as Mixmag where his rising star has been recognized through a number of interviews about his work and performance.
Recently, Toru toured Australia playing a number of club and party gigs and holding down a massive set at Strawberry Fields, one of Australia’s premier underground dance music festivals.
Toru makes sure to stay well grounded in his roots working with “SiNE” the Osaka & Tokyo based party crew he founded to run parties and production sessions focused on the freshest sounds in Techno and House. In 2017 he founded “yell0w” his own DJ and production artist school in Shinsaibashi, Osaka where he teaches and works to develop the next generation of up and coming local electronic artists.
